Hello! We are Alejandro (Alex) and Dulcy Hernandez. We are newer to Reach Church, though not new to loving Jesus. We have been married since 2010 and have two little girls, ages 6 and 7. Our family has called the Kingsgate area home since we were married. Intentionally loving our neighbors as a daily life rhythm is super important to us. We find all sorts of ways to connect in our community, which just might include some of our hobbies...biking, eating good food and cooking it, beer/hard cider/kombucha brewing, gardening (sometimes in the community garden on our property), walking, hiking, traveling the world (we've lived out of the country some on mission trips to other continents), playing board games, watching movies, listening to and playing music, dancing (let us know if you want a salsa dancing lesson ;), reading, learning about new activities and cultures. We're pretty passionate about caring for vulnerable people, specifically via foster care, adoption, and immigrant/refugee hosting and support. We are stoked to meet you soon and get to know your heart and personality, to live on mission together learning to love Jesus and our neighbor more deeply in our everyday lives. What can I expect?
We'll host at the Hernandez casa in the Kingsgate area of Kirkland. We plan to share a meal, catch one another up on our lives and prayer requests, pray and worship a little together, and then do a brief Bible study from Scripture. Kids will be a part of sharing in our 30-minute study, discussion, and prayer time with the whole group, and we do not have child care, so please keep in mind your kiddos' attention spans and ability to contribute in the discussion! Our group will strive to connect the generations in our neighborhood to live on mission together for Jesus in our community.

Who is this Group for?
We live in the Kingsgate area of Northeast Kirkland, though almost in Southeast Bothell and a Southwest corner of Woodinville! ;) We hope to connect with those who live close by (within 5 miles or less of our home) so we can do some of our daily life together.
 
Nearly all ages** and stages are welcome...young marrieds, empty nesters, single folks with and without kids, families with kids, retirees, school age kids, teens, college, young adults, etc.! Let's learn from one another through the generations!
 
 ** Please note that the design and intention for our group gatherings is that adults and kids would be able to participate in the Bible study conversations and prayer time all together. Unfortunately, since we will not have childcare during group time, toddler/preschool families might not find our group a good fit. Families with children old enough to contribute to the conversations might be better suited. If you need further clarification, contact us and we'd love to chat!
